In the news Lakes, rivers and sand traps also play an important role in the beauty of the course, so we spend a lot of time and ef- fort maintaining them. Sometimes it is the little things that make a big impact, and we focus our team on those areas. There are so many beautiful spots on the course that it makes scheduling time to take care of them a challenge, but always worth- while upon completion. Our annual flower areas on the Celebrity Course consist of a Viola mix, with some areas having additional pop- pies and snapdragons. Once these plants mature, they will provide stunning accents to the golf course. We also have areas where wild flowers will take over with a variety of samples, such as alyssum, African daisies, gazanias, poppies and gaillardia to name a few. You will also see plenty of our perennial plants blooming with bougainvillea dominating the land- scapes. We have lantanas, Texas rangers, cassias, and brittlebush as well. > on the Players Course, we have been spraying shortgrass with a variety of fertil- izers to make sure our ryegrass continues to mature and handle traffic. As the tem- peratures get cooler, the non-overseeded Bermuda grass will start its winter dor- mancy, and during December we will spray the rough with an herbicide mixture to give it that blond definition. Currently, we are working on landscape areas between No. 5 and No. 14, removing volunteer trees and plants, and opening up the area to make it easier to spot your golf ball. However, be warned: It is still a diffi- cult shot if you have to play it from there. Looking ahead to 2021, we anticipate golf will keep us busy. So, here's to a promising and a prosperous new year. Thank you for visiting and enjoying our wonderful property. Blonde definition offers a striking contrast on The Players Course. continued from the previous page…
