LAUNCH PARTY Indian Wells prepares to unveil its all-new Shots in the Night experience on October 18 T he wait is nearly over, and this month one of the most anticipated new amenities at In- dian Wells Golf Resort will open to the public. Following an invitation-only grand opening event October 17, Shots in the Night will offi- cially open the following evening, and it's sure to become a favorite activity for seasoned golfers and non-golfers alike. Some may describe it as a night-time golf amusement park, but really it can only be described after experiencing it. There will be giant inflatable targets on the driving range that blink when hit, computer- generated laser putting games and a heavy emphasis on unique food, drinks, music and excitement. "I am extremely excited for Shots in the Night to open, as I have been working hard mak- ing sure this new venture is a total success," said Matt Balesteri, the resort's PGA Di- rector of Night Golf. "There is really nothing like this in the desert – it gives golfers, hotel guests and families something fun to do when the sun sets." Games on the driving range include closest to the pin, around the world, H.O.R.S.E., 21 and more. On the putting green, players will enjoy the nine-hole challenge, corn hole and shuffleboard, among other competitions. "My favorite game, and one that I find most golfers enjoy as well, is the nine-hole chal- lenge," Balesteri said. "The game is very interactive, and with different levels of diffi- culty the game becomes fair for new golfers playing against sea- soned golfers. The second most popular game is darts, because the dart board looks amazing on the green. This game gives you the freedom to play and start from wherever you want." ...................................................... >> CLICK HERE to view the com- plete Shots in the Night brochure.
