Q
uick: Name any meal not
named "breakfast" that isn't
significantly upgraded by a
glass of fine wine. It's tough. Served
with a nice Pinot or Chardonnay, the
experience is typically more enjoy-
able.
With that in mind, Vue Grille & Bar
will be hosting a grand gala of grapes
for all wine lovers, newbies and som-
meliers alike: Wine'd Up for the Sea-
son, to take place on Friday, Nov. 10,
from 5 to 8 p.m.
Guests will sample a large number
of top selections, tasting and purchas-
ing brands at strikingly reduced
prices.
"This one's going to be big," said
Scott Winant, Indian Wells' Director
of Food and Beverage. "Over 20
wineries will be here, serving more
than 150 of their best wines."
Varietals to be showcased will in-
clude everything from the finest
Cabernets and Merlots to Rieslings
and Pinots – and a whole lot more.
"Many guests have been pleasantly
surprised by the wide variety of
wines at this event," Winant said.
"And they get such great deals, the
cost to participate more than pays for
itself. This is one of the things that
separates Wine'd Up from so many
other events."
The cost – $45 in advance and $60
at the door – includes a buffet dinner.
Although the fare has yet to be deter-
mined, rest assured that the food will
be every bit as delectable as the
wines.
"You don't even need to be a wine
lover to enjoy this event," Winant
said.
