f you like to enjoy an ice cold
beer after your round, you won't
be disappointed at Indian Wells
Golf Resort.
There are now 14 varieties on tap.
This summer, Vue Grille & Bar ex-
panded its craft beer selection from
two local breweries that have strong
followings — La Quinta Brewing Co.
and Coachella Valley Brewing Co.
Both breweries opened last year.
The Vue has successfully infused
local ingredients into its menu and
aims to do the same with its bever-
ages, says Director of Food and Bev-
erage Scott Winant.
"We average 80,000 rounds a year,
hosting people from all over," Winant
says. "Everyone returning to the
Coachella Valley is looking for a dif-
ferent beer they can't get in the gro-
cery store; beer that reflects the fla-
vors of the valley."
La Quinta's Heatwave Red Ale is
"not too heavy, not too light; great
for lager and Pilsner drinkers
who want to take the next
step in their beer drinking,"
Winant says.
The brewery is known for
its Indian Canyon IPA, which
is on tap and sold in cans in the
restaurant and on the course. Pool-
side Blonde also is available on tap.
A bolder selection, Coachella's
Desert Swarm is a wheat beer featur-
ing honey harvested nearby. The
company's farm-to-table brewing
philosophy incorporates locally
grown citrus, herbs and spices and is
popular in the home-brewing com-
munity. The bar also pours
Kölschella, Oasis Ale and Sessions
IPA.
"The response from our guests has
been very positive," Winant says.
"They are very excited about
trying some new stuff here."
In addition to craft beer on
tap and in bottles, the bar
and restaurant serve domes-
tic and import favorites.
Stay tuned, too, as the Vue may
host beer dinners along with its pop-
ular wine dinners.

event, slated for November, will be
