THE GOLF SHOP T he pro shop at Indian Wells Golf Resort is packed with the top brands in the game, but it's also full of something else, too: pride. For the fifth time in six years, the shop has been awarded the prestigious "Platinum Award" by the Association of Golf Merchan- disers (AGM) for 2023. The annual award recognizes premier golf shops worldwide for demonstrating successful business prac- tices in their retail operations. The Indian Wells Golf Resort's pro shop is renowned for its exceptional service and a spacious floor filled with top golf apparel brands for men and women, including Tra- visMathew, Peter Millar, Turtleson, Antigua, Greyson Clothiers, Lucky in Love, LOHLA Sport, Skort Obsession and many more. Director of Retail Pam Vincent has used her more than 30 years of experience in the golf retail industry to create a unique and inviting atmosphere for guests during her four years at the resort. "The AGM Platinum Award is a testament to Pam Vincent and our entire team's tireless work to ensure our golf shop provides an unrivaled experience for our guests," said Indian Wells Golf Resort General Manager Sven Wiedenhaupt. Vincent attributed the AGM Platinum Award to the beautiful golf shop, which at 3,500 square feet is among the largest in the Coachella Valley. She said she and her team work hard to create an inviting atmosphere and to provide a wide selection of products. "We are constantly adding new brands and ensuring the shop's appearance never stays the same," she said. Vincent also mentioned the resort's part- nership with Lululemon as an exciting ad- dition, featuring the Indian Wells Golf Resort logo on the company's products. One of the ways Vincent selects brands and products for the shop is by organizing a Golf Show in April and August. This allows her to see the latest collections each season. Before joining Indian Wells Golf Resort, Vincent was a sales representa- tive for numerous golf apparel brands for more than 30 years, covering Southern California and Hawaii. When asked about what she enjoys most about being the Director of Retail, Vincent said, "The people I work with and the guests I meet. I am so lucky this is my job every day!"
