INSTRUCTION
S
peed control is critical when it comes to making putts. In this video, PGA Director of Instruction Eric Solander
illustrates a drill that tour pros often implement in their practice sessions to help get a feel for what they
might face out on the course. The drill consists of hitting the same basic putt at varying degrees of speed,
whether it be slow, fast or somewhere in between. CLICK HERE to view more golf instruction videos.
Two TrackMan 4 launch monitors
are coming soon to the golf shop
G
olfers at Indian Wells Golf Resort will soon have
even better tools to measure every imaginable
data point related to their swings. The resort plans in
October to install two new TrackMan 4 systems in the
hitting bays at the golf shop, bringing the most up-to-
date and advanced technology into play.
"We wanted to have the best indoor studios that we
possibly could, and the new TrackMan 4 system's dual
radar tracking technology is revolutionary," said PGA
Director of Instruction Eric Solander.
"The technology has improved so
much, and the software built in pro-
vides much better communication
between the student and the teacher
than was previously available."
The TrackMan 4 systems offer
state-of-the-art instructional tools
as well as simulators that can transport you to the top
courses in the world and experience them in 4K defini-
tion. The newest feature is a short game and putting
monitor that brings precision never seen before in
measuring shots around the green. There are also scor-
ing zone challenges that can help golfers dial in their
yardages, and adjustments for weather conditions – so
you can practice in extreme wind, cold or heat all from
the comfort of an air-conditioned room.
