THE COURSES
dormant and a golden brown hue. This was our second ap-
plication and that should be it for the season.
As the weather warms up, we'll begin to bring
back the Bermuda with the help of fertility applica-
tions as well as verticutting.
By mid-March or early April, we should see the
grass green up off the fairways and, if the weather is
good, turn fully green by May.
This process has a number of benefits, including
being more environmentally friendly and conserving
water, a precious commodity for our desert courses.
There's an even better benefit for golfers. With no
rough, players get extra roll on their shots and the
lies are pretty much straightforward and easy to hit off.

CELEBRITY COURSE UPDATE
On the Celebrity Course, there are a variety of flowers
blooming, including both annuals and perennials. You'll find
the annuals close to the tee complexes and they include vio-
las, snapdragons, alyssum and poppies.
The perennials are planted around the greens and along
hillsides and include gazanias, California poppies, alyssum
and African daisies.
In addition, we have perennial bushes that are starting to
flower and show their amazing colors.
The La Jolla bougainvillea is prominent on the Celebrity
Course and the Players Course has yellow Tecomas. Other
bloomers include Texas Rangers, Japanese and Petite Pink
Oleanders, Brittlebush, and many more.
I hope you come out soon and enjoy the views.
A variety of flowers bring vibrant
color to the Celebrity Course.
