I
ndian Wells Golf Resort finished
2016 with a flourish, picking up an-
other prestigious award for the
Players and Celebrity courses.
The latest accolade was announced
this month, when Indian Wells was
honored for "Best Playing Conditions"
Palm Springs Area for 2016 by the
website Greenskeeper.org.
The award is derived from analyz-
ing the previous 12 months of online
ratings and reviews submitted by site
users of Greenskeeper.org.
"From playing conditions to service,
Indian Wells Golf Resort always ranks
near the top in all of Southern Califor-
nia," said John Hakim, CEO and
founder of Greenskeeper.org.
This is the fourth time Indian Wells
has received the award, the most of
any course in the Coachella Valley. In-
dian Wells also won in 2008, 2009 and
2015.
"Played here for the first time on
Friday afternoon and absolutely loved
every bit of it," said one Greenskeeper
reviewer from Paramount. "From the
opening hole you know you are in for
a challenging round. The customer
service from the moment you arrive
until the moment you leave is fantas-
tic."
Greenskeeper.org was founded 2002
and provides golfers with course re-
views along with invaluable informa-
tion on course conditions. In addition,
the website provides fun outings for
site users called GK Plays.
"We've done many GK Plays out-
ings at Indian Wells Golf Resort, which
have always been successful," Hakim
said.
Indian Wells Golf Resort was also
honored in 2016 by Golf Magazine for
Best Courses You Can Play in Califor-
nia (Players Course No. 16, Celebrity
Course No. 30), and by Golfweek for
Top 30 Best Courses You Can Play in
California (Players Course No. 21,
Celebrity Course No. 27).
