C oachella Valley's very own talk radio celebrities will host foot- ball's main event next month at Indian Wells Golf Resort. Julie Buehler and co-host Geoff Bloom (pictured) will extend their week- day program on Team 1010 KXPS — Buehler's Day Off — on Super Bowl Sun- day, Feb. 1. About 300 fellow sports fans are expected to attend the party at Vue Grille & Bar. Buehler couldn't be more excited. "Vue is a venue as spectacular as the Super Bowl spectacle itself," she said. "In order to enjoy a great, big-game party, sports fans need plenty of big screen TVs, great food, cold beer and, of course, an amped atmosphere. There's no better place for all that than Vue Grille & Bar. February 1st can't come soon enough." Buehler's Day Off will begin airing at about noon and will provide commen- tary before and during the game. A Super Bowl Buffet with salads, burgers, Chicago hot dogs, build-your- own nachos and desserts will be served from 3 to 7 p.m. for $25, and there will be drink specials and giveaways. Having Buehler and Bloom in atten- dance for the Super Bowl should be fun, says Scott Winant, Director of Food and Beverage. "Guests enjoy the broadcasts," Winant says. "Buehler and Bloom play off each other and it's very entertaining. And the fact that they are local person- alities is especially exciting for every- one." Winant expects the Super Bowl party to sell out and encourages early reser- vations. "Vue is the place to be Super Bowl Sunday," he said.
