O
ne of the most anticipated
golf events in the Coachella
Valley will conclude in
grand fashion this year with an
awards banquet and prize giveaways
at Indian Wells Golf Resort.
Set for April 10-12, the third annual
Desert Two Ball Challenge will fea-
ture two-player teams competing on
three different Coachella Valley
courses in a combination of scramble,
better ball and shamble formats.
"This is an extraordinary opportu-
nity for players to play on three of the
finest courses in the Valley," said
Michael Tebbetts, Director of Sales
and Marketing at Indian Wells. "Plus,
for the first time the final round will
be played at Indian Wells, where the
winners will be determined."
The event kicks off on Friday, April
10 on the Pete Dye Course at Westin
Mission Hills, followed by Classic
Club on April 11, and wrapping up
on the Celebrity Course at Indian
Wells on April 12.
"You can't get a better time of year
to hold the tournament," says Teb-
betts. "Not only are you playing in
perfect weather conditions, but dur-
ing the peak season in the Valley it al-
lows more people to participate and
enjoy a fun and competitive event."
The event has been popular from
the start and sells out every year.
"The format of play each day is
perfect for anyone who wants to
compete on three great courses over
three days," says Tebbetts.
In addition to the awards banquet,
the $598 per team entry fee includes
tee gifts, on-course contests and
prizes for top finishers in both gross
and net divisions.
