OVERSEEDING DATES
ANNOUNCED FOR
THE PLAYERS AND
CELEBRITY COURSES
A
s the seasons change, so do
the grasses on the layouts at
Indian Wells Golf Resort.
A necessary practice, known as
overseeding, allows the resort to tran-
sition its turfgrass to winter species,
ensuring the courses retain their
beauty and playability throughout the
chillier months.
The transition period means that
both the Players and Celebrity courses
will briefly close for play, although
one course will always remain open.
The Players Course will initiate its
closure period starting at 1 p.m. on
September 24 and will remain closed
through October 13. Looking out
further, carts will not be permitted on
the fairways until November 2.
Subsequently, the overseeding pro-
cess for the Celebrity Course will
begin at 11 a.m. on October 15 and
the course will be closed through
November 2. Post-seeding, carts will
be restricted to paths only through
November 22.

tee boxes at No. 1 on the Players Course and
No. 10 on the Celebrity Course. There also are
cameras strategically placed so visitors can
see the Clubhouse and Vue Grille & Bar res-
taurant patio as well as the Shots in the Night
putting course and Toptracer Driving Range.
The addition of the live webcams allow golf
enthusiasts and visitors to experience the stun-
ning courses and facilities that the resort has
to offer when they aren't actually there.
