Y ou don't have to scream for ice cream at Indian Wells Golf Resort. Frozen treats are always close at hand thanks to The Cool Cart, which rolled into operation at the resort for the first time on New Year's Eve. Available seven days a week and for special events, The Cool Cart comes loaded with Good Humor bars and Hagen Daaz and everything in between. "We can also do customized offer- ings for groups depending on what clients want to serve, and we can sta- tion the cart in the middle of the golf course to do custom ice cream sun- daes," said IWGR Director of Sales and Marketing Ben Rodny. "I'm sure that as we get it into operation we will discover even more ways to utilize this great new amenity." The Cool Cart will definitely come in handy during the summer months. "This will be a key piece of our Summer Golf package," Rodny said. "After all, there's nothing like a popsi- cle delivered to you on the course when it's hot outside." RISING TO THE OCCASION Winners crowned in national finals at Indian Wells Golf Resort T he West proved to be the best at the 2022 Troon Challenge National Finals contested at Indian Wells Golf Resort on December 10-11. The 20th annual tournament attracted more than 1,500 golfers who competed in regional qualifying events across the U.S. Seventy two- person teams (140 golfers) made the National Fi- nals, competing in both Gross and Net Divisions. The Boulders Resort & Spa team of Logan France and Bailey Ogrin from Arizona took top honors in the Gross Division, while the Net winners were Sean Keefe and Josh Levitt from Orange County's Monarch Beach Golf Links. Another big Western winner was the host club. "Hosting the Troon Challenge National Finals was incredibly satisfying," said IWGR Director of Sales and Marketing Ben Rodny. "With 38 quali- fying events around the country, including our own this past July, our team couldn't wait to host the finals. With such a big event, it was all hands on deck and the team truly performed. The feed- back from the players and Troon was fantastic." ........................................................................... > LEARN MORE about the Troon Challenge.
