I
ndian Wells Golf Resort is ringing in the
new year by renewing the popular
wine-tasting dinner series for 2023
called Vines @ The Vue.
These special dinners will be held bi-
monthly from January through March and
monthly for April and May at IWGR's Vue
Grille & Bar. For 2023, a new wrinkle graces
the lineup. (Hint: think fun with suds.) What
every Vines @ The Vue dinner shares, how-
ever, is camaraderie, education, superb serv-
ice, an inviting atmosphere and yes,
fabulous wines.
"We have selected a cross section of
wines and regions that celebrate what wines
bring to the dining experience," said Sven
Wiedenhaupt, General Manager at IWGR.
"The intent is to bring people together over
the mutual passion for wine. This as an op-
portunity to highlight how food and wine
pair wonderfully well together."
In year two of Vines @ The Vue, the se-
lected wines will represent different regions,
styles and price points. Also, the food will
be in complete synergy with each selection.
"We taste the wines first and at the same
time we debate the merits of each wine, the
profile, what we recognize on the mouth –
and with that we build a menu that brings
both the exceptional wines and our culinary
talents to the table," said Wiedenhaupt.
On the menu in the coming weeks are
Rombauer on January 27, Ridge on February
10 and Far Niente on February 24. Change
arrives on March 10, when the dinner fea-
tures products from the Coachella Valley
Brewing Co.
"This will be beer-centric, with some new
food elements to the experience," said
Wiedenhaupt. "We will endeavor to show-
case the versatility of their beers with vari-
ous food pairings."
Other Vines @ The Vue dinners will fea-
ture the Paso Robles Region on March 24,
Boich on April 15 and Hess on May 19.
