THINK PINK
Helping to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention
I
ndian Wells Golf Resort is known
for its lush green fairways and put-
ting surfaces, but during October,
pink will be a major color of focus.
In an effort to raise awareness about
breast cancer prevention and screening
exams, the resort has installed pink
flags, poles and cups on the 9th and
18th holes of both the Players and
Celebrity courses.
In addition, Vue Grille & Bar is cook-
ing up special drinks and menu items
that will feature a pink flair.
"It's important to recognize the strug-
gles women face in this country," said
Director of Sales and Marketing Ben
Rodny. "Not only problems going to a
doctor for diagnosis help, but also pre-
ventative screenings and access. This is
a constant reminder we need to support each other when it comes to our health."
The efforts at Indian Wells Golf Resort are part of Troon's Breast Cancer Awareness
Month in October. Throughout the month, affiliated golf properties will fly pink flags
to help raise awareness.
