one of the world's best
T
he golf shop at Indian Wells Golf Resort was
recently named a 2022 Platinum Award
recipient by the Association of Golf Merchandisers.

the award honors the "best of the best" public,

apart from other golf shops," said Merchandise

hear guests tell us, 'Wow, this is the most beautiful
golf shop I have ever seen!' We work hard making
sure the shop is full of fresh product every month."

Operation 36 offers junior
golfers a path to success
O
peration 36 classes for junior golfers swing
into action in late February. The six-week
programs consist of participating in group clinics
and playing in 9-hole events that incorporate the
Operation 36 model, where players begin from 25
yards away from the hole and move out to 50
yards, and so on, until they shoot even-par 36.
Monday classes kick off on February 26 and run
six consecutive weeks beginning at 4 p.m. Tuesday
classes run six consecutive weeks beginning March
1 at 3:30 p.m. On-course events take place every
other Thursday starting February 24 as part of the
program, with starting times between 3:30-4 p.m.
Cost for each six-week class is $295 per student.

THE COURSES
G
olf conditions should be very nice
in February as both the Players
and Celebrity courses are in great
shape. As long as the weather continues
to cooperate, guests will be in for a very
pleasant experience if they're visiting In-
dian Wells Golf Resort in the near future.
During this time of the year, the courses
are maturing and the turf grass is really
consistent and healthy. In addition, the
flowers are blooming, the greens are
rolling nice, and everything is playing
extremely well.
Lately, we've been working on the
slopes across from the clubhouse and they
are starting to look great. The mulch we
are putting in is almost complete, and the
combination with new plants has these
areas looking stellar
One of the great things about this time
of year is that we start to see larger groups
coming to play, and some of them are big-
time events. Having longtime groups re-
turning is a refreshing sight to see.
As we move into the springtime, we
will continue to work on all the details
that make this facility such a great place.
See you out on the fairways!
