WELLS 36 NEW PROGRAM COMING SOON A new Operation 36 program is kicking off soon at Indian Wells Golf Resort. The upcoming "Wells 36" edition, a hybrid of the unique developmental model, will offer on-course coaching and clinics. Led by PGA Director of Instruction Eric Solander, PGA Lead Teaching Professional Jordan Hamblin and PGA Teaching Professional David Curtis, the clinics will take place on Monday and Tuesday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. with on- course playing privileges after class. On-course events will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m., and participants will play nine holes from their Opera- tion 36 designated yardages. S omething special is happening at The Academy at Indian Wells Golf Resort as the resort's in- struction department is launch- ing Saturday Specialty Clinics that will run from January 15-March 19 from noon-1:30 p.m. Put on by PGA Director of Instruction Eric Solander and Lead Teaching Profes- sional Jordan Hamblin, the clinics take a more in-depth look at your skills in a progressive format from class to class. > The first clinic on January 15 is titled The Moment of Truth, and will include an introduction to the impact position, and why it's the most impor- tant area in the golf swing to under- stand and know how to practice from. > The January 22 theme is Club Head and Club Face Control and it will delve into how well students can control their golf club and club face from start to finish. > The January 29 clinic, Tempo and Timing, will focus on getting students to swing with a consistent tempo through- out every club in the bag. > The February 5 event, Athletic Motion, will help diagnose swing flaws in your full swing and provide you with drills that you can practice to increase your athleticism. The remaining clinics include topics such as Symmetrical Drill and Reverse Learning (February 12); Pre-Shot and Post-Shot Routine (February 19); A Jack of all Trades is a Master of None, but Oftentimes Better Than a Master of One (February 26); Driver Full Swing Syn- chronization and How to Shape Shots off the Tee (March 5); The Two Ways to Get Better Without Changing Your Swing (March 12); and Anything and Everything (March 19).
