IN THE NEWS
and as temperatures cool down, we'll start
seeing the greens roll with a little more
speed. Everyone wants faster greens, but
you have to balance health and longevity.
That said, they are running about 9.5 to 10
on the stimpmeter, which is nice.

Now that fall overseeding is complete,
we'll continue to focus on landscape areas.
Considering the size of our property, it's a
massive undertaking with the amount of
work these areas require to maintain re-
sort-quality scenery.
We've improved and enhanced a lot of
these areas and they are looking very nice,
but we won't rest until they all look great.

Meanwhile, as the temperatures con-
tinue to decrease, the importance of main-
taining healthy turf on both courses will
be our biggest priority.
And, thanks to a great staff and a lot of
experienced team members, we will be
able to balance the work that needs to be
done while not interfering with play.
There aren't any major projects in the
works, but we will continue cleaning up
perimeters and refreshing the plants and
trees along El Dorado and Highway 111
adjacent to the golf course. We'll also
add landscaping and mulch along Indian
Wells Lane where a new fence is being
constructed to beautify the area.
In addition, we'll be cleaning up and
replanting along the wash on the hillside
across from the clubhouse near the ninth
hole on the Celebrity Course and the first
hole on the Players Course.
