he Academy at Indian Wells Golf Resort is a Certified
Training Facility for Operation 36, a fun and effective on-
course developmental program that teaches juniors, men,
women and beginners how to play the game. The program consists
of playing nine holes and attending group clinics on a weekly basis
as well as continually tracking progress. Nine-hole events incorporate
the Operation 36 model where participants begin from 25 yards away
from the hole. Once a student shoots even-par 36 or better, they move
out to 50 yards, and so on, until they shoot even par for a full 9 holes.
