TIME
T
his is the time of year when we get our
two award-winning courses at Indian
Wells Golf Resort ready for winter.
That means it's time for us to overseed.
We've already begun work on the Players
Course, which will reopen on Friday, October 15.
Then, the Celebrity Course will close on Sunday,
October 17 until it reopens on Friday, November 5.
Here's an inside look at what takes place:
On the Players Course, we're doing things like
we have in the past and are not overseeding the
rough areas, allowing the Bermuda grass to go
dormant and contrast with the verdant fairways
and greens. This year, however, we're expanding
some of the overseeded areas, which were drawn
up during the summer months to allow us to
groom the Bermuda and get all of our lines in
order before we drop seed.
