Upcoming summer camps focus on
having fun and improving skills

f you have kids ages 8-12 who love golf or are just dis-
covering the game, one way to help them embrace their
passion is to attend a week-long golf camp this summer.
Indian Wells Golf Resort is oCering "Operation Fun"
Junior League Camps June 14-18 and July 5-9, and the
two-hour sessions each morning feature play-based activi-
ties that help young golfers learn the basics and track their
progress under the guidance of PGA Lead Teaching Profes-
sional Eric Solander, who was recently nominated for the
Southern California PGA's Youth Player Development
Award acknowledging his dedication and accomplish-
ments. Registration for each camp is $225 per golfer.

celebrate a successful season
D
eveloping the next generation of golfers is always a
priority at Indian Wells Golf Resort, and the junior pro-
grams oCered by the instruction staC continue to serve as
a great way for youngsters to enjoy the game.
Indian Wells once again had enough participation to
Deld two full teams in PGA Jr. League play in April and
May, with the squads Dnishing second and third in the
eight-team league with a cumulative record of 11-4. In ad-
dition, the game-changing Operation 36 program served
more than 100 kids from more than 80 families, helping
them master the basics through fun and interactive games.
