Camps & classes offer junior golfers a chance to advance
t
he teaching professionals at
Indian Wells Golf Resort are
gearing up for a holiday sea-
son filled with festive activities for
junior golfers of all abilities.
Led by PGA Lead Teaching Profes-
sional Eric Solander, the upcoming
camps and classes will focus on the
fundamentals and how to take what
is learned on the practice tee out to
the golf course.
Kicking things off will be a 3-day
thanksgiving camp open to junior
golfers ages 7-13. The camp will take
place November 27-29 from 2-4
p.m., and the cost to attend is $200
per golfer.
The following month, a 3-day
winter Holiday camp takes place
December 28-30 from 2-4 p.m. Cost
is $200 per golfer.
Meanwhile, Indian Wells contin-
ues to host operation 36 golf
schools with an emphasis on attract-
ing more youth players to the game.
Operation 36 offers a unique way for
golfers to shoot par for nine holes by
starting play from 25 yards out until
they shoot that number, then
progress until they play a full nine
holes at par or better. (You can watch

The Operation 36 Golf classes are
limited to 12 participants and will
be held Wednesdays and Thursdays
December 2-17 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Cost to attend is $175, with a dis-
count of $25 per student per addi-
tional family member.
