TIME
T
he Oscars ceremony
may still be a month
away, but Indian Wells
Golf Resort has already
started adding to its list of hon-
ors and awards.
Recognizing Indian Wells as
among the "Best of the Best"
among private, resort and off-
course golf shops, IWGR was se-
lected for a 2020 Platinum Award
from the Association of Golf
Merchandisers, and will be rec-
ognized at the AGM Annual Re-
tail Conference in late January.
"It is quite an honor winning
this award," said Merchandise
Manager Pamela Vincent. "I am
proud of our beautiful 3,500-
square-foot golf shop and our
creative and innovative displays.
Everyone in the golf shop played
a role in us being recognized,
and I am honored to work along-
side all of them."
Later this month, the resort
will also receive a Golden Fork
Award from the golf industry
magazine Golf Inc., recognizing
Vue Grille & Bar for its recent
renovation as well as going above
and beyond with guest services.
"It's nice to be recognized on a
national level for all the hard
work the team has put in," said
Director of Food and Beverage
Scott Winant. "The design team
is also responsible, as they com-
pleted an amazing renovation to
our facility late last year."
Those awards follow IWGR's
recognition as the California Golf
Course Owners Association's
"Course of the Year," announced
in late October recognizing the
property for demonstrating ex-
cellence in course quality, water
stewardship, ownership and
management, and contributions
to the community and the game.
