Golf Resort are in for
a treat as the popular
spot for great food and drinks in
a casual setting re-opens Septem-
ber 12 following a $1 million ren-
ovation this summer.
Along with an abundance of
unique events and weekly spe-
cials, the venue will have a new
look when visitors return for the
first time this season.
The renovation included the
purchase of new kitchen equip-
ment and general improvements
that will make food service more
efficient. But the most obvious
change will be the new rectangu-
lar-shaped bar, which can seat 30
guests (20 inside and 10 outside)
and has large windows that allow
visitors to enjoy the type of am-
biance that is such a big part of
the Coachella Valley experience.
Director of Food and Beverage
Scott Winant said the new bar
will add a communal atmosphere
to the sophisticated yet relaxed
setting within the restaurant.
"I think guests will really love
the new setup, because it creates
a dynamic atmosphere in that
area," Winant said.
There also will be some
changes to the menus, but the
goal is to keep the core of the of-
ferings unchanged while adding
new tastes and fresh twists on
other standard items to maintain
the dynamic dining experience
that diners have come to expect.
"We get several repeat and
very loyal guests who frequent
our restaurant," Winant said.
"It's important for us to keep fan
favorites on the menus, as well
as to add new items for those
who come for the ambiance of
our unique setting, but who also
like to try different items when
they're available."
Recurring offerings include
half-price wines on Monday,
Taco Tuesday with Margarita
and Mexican beer specials, burg-
ers and beers on Wednesday, bar-
becue nights on Thursday,
specials on Tito's cocktails and
martinis to end the work week
on Friday, and the always-popu-
lar prime rib special on Saturday.
