xpect the Celebrity
Ballroom to keep pace
with the five-star repu-
tation of Indian Wells Golf
Resort as the 10-year-old
venue will be enhanced and
refreshed beginning Feb
26. The 2,600-square-
foot ballroom will
emerge revitalized
by March 9 with
technology upgrades
and an interior design
facelift — the first makeover
since opening in 2008.
"The new technology
brings us into the 21st cen-
tury and allows modern-day
presentation and live stream-
ing of the internet," said Gen-
eral Manager Steve Rosen.
"Lighter colors on the floor
and walls also bring a fresh
feel to the room for use by
business groups, weddings,
and all types of festive cele-
brations."
The technology enhance-
ments will include:
> A 138-inch video wall
in the front of the room.
> Four Sony 65-
inch 4K HDR TVs
flanking the side
walls.
> An 85-inch Sony 4K
HDR TV on the back wall.
"There will no longer be
any bad viewing lines of
sight in the room," said
Rosen.
Interior design upgrades
include:
> Light Swiss-coffee color
paint to replace the darker
brown colors in the room.
> New carpet to add to the
refreshed look and feel.
The enhancements add to
the other features of the
Celebrity Ballroom, where
double glass doors open to a
private patio that faces the re-
sort's Celebrity Course.
"Your own private patio
with amazing views and the
pre-function area in the front
of the ballroom also has a
small private, external patio
with beautiful views of Eisen-
hower Mountain and the
desert," said Rosen.
The Celebrity Ballroom's
size, configuration and out-
standing views provide a
popular venue for spectacu-
lar events. The ballroom has
hosted festivities for events
such as the Skins Game and
Golf Channel's Big Break se-
ries, as well as many private
events, corporate meetings,
and receptions.
Rosen notes that the
Celebrity Ballroom provides
a venue for smaller, intimate
events, as well as space to
accommodate 200 guests at
a sit-down event.
