he best holiday parties
feature great food,
good company and a
unique setting – all of which
can be found at Vue Grille &
Bar in the coming weeks.
"Christmas Eve and
Christmas Day are all about
families," said Scott Winant,
Director of Food & Beverage.
"We often have three genera-
tions in a family joining us
for dinner – and we
definitely cater to
that with an elegant
buffet dinner."
Winant likes to
think of the Christmas
events as easy-going occa-
sions in the upscale environ-
ment that Vue guests have
come to expect. As one of the
few restaurants in the area
that stays open for the holi-
day, hundreds of diners take
advantage of the chance to
enjoy their holiday meal in a
relaxed, festive environment.
While Christmas is a good
example of a more casual
event, New Year's is quite
different – with flair, pizzazz
and all-night celebrations.
"New Year's Eve really is
the polar opposite of our
Christmas events,"
said Winant. "With
balloons and hats
and noisemakers
and a band, it's quite
a party."
The Toast and Jam Band
will entertain that evening,
and the eight-piece band
made up of locals in the com-
munity is always a hit at Vue.
"They typically draw a
crowd of 200-250 people
every time they play, even on
non-holidays," said Winant,
"with a repertoire of music
that includes everything from
classic rock to country and
modern hits."
The New Year's Eve event
will feature a sit-down din-
ner, with selection options for
each course. Dinner will be
followed by dancing and, as
more guests are doing each
year, a stay at one of the four
hotels within walking dis-
tance – the Hyatt Regency In-
dian Wells Resort & Spa, the
Indian Wells Resort Hotel,
Miramonte Indian Wells Re-
sort & Spa or the Renaissance
Indian Wells Resort & Spa.
"There aren't many free-
standing restaurants in the
area with a hotel right next
door," said Winant. "Our
New Year's Eve event allows
you to be able to have a place
to stay after the festivities."
For those who will be in
the area, Vue is offering its
traditional Sunday Brunch
on New Year's Day.
However you choose to
spend the holidays at Indian
Wells Golf Resort, Winant
suggests making reservations
soon as seating is limited.
