S
ince its opening in early 2014,
The Pavilion at Indian Wells Golf
Resort has hosted countless wed-
dings and special events. With its ex-
pansive indoor-outdoor space that
offers a multitude of decorating op-
tions and floor-to-ceiling windows that
provide panoramic views of the golf
course and mountains, the space has
proved to be an indispensable amenity.
And with an upcoming enhance-
ment project set to get under way, it's
going to be even better equipped to
handle a wider range of events.
"Ownership decided to invest in the
event spaces we currently have to
maximize the potential of The Pavilion
and diversify the types of events that
are native to the space," said Michael
Tebbetts, Director of Sales and Market-
ing at Indian Wells Golf Resort.
Improvements will take 10-12 weeks
and are expected to be completed by
the end of the summer in 2017. Pri-
mary features that will be added in-
clude a new green room and bridal
suite, with a private patio area that
leads to the event lawn. A vestibule
will also be built, which will help regu-
late the temperature inside the facility
and in turn open the doors for more
off-season events.
Updated flooring and treatment to
the back wall will brighten the look of
the space, and a deck will be added to
the front that will provide 900 addi-
tional square feet.
"We are also enhancing the outside
of the kitchen area to blend in with the
landscape and be a more functional
transition space," said Tebbetts.
Overall, the improvements will in-
crease capacity, convenience and at-
tractiveness of The Pavilion.
"The benefits are many, but we are
increasing the ease in which clients
and planners can envision and utilize
The Pavilion and lessening the burden
on the guest to decorate the space,"
said Tebbetts.
