he premier two-player team golf tournament in the greater
Coachella Valley, the desert Two-Ball Challenge, is return-
ing for the fourth year and promises to provide another excit-
ing mix of friendly banter and competitive golf. This weekend-
long event, set for April 15-17, will feature a combination of
scramble, better-ball, and shamble formats played over three
desert courses, including Indian Wells Golf Resort, Classic Club,
and Westin Mission Hills. In addition to the golf, entry fee in-
cludes tee gifts, on-course contests, and an awards banquet
with prizes for top finishers in gross and net divisions.

T
he Indian wells Pro-Am Invitational is just around the cor-
ner and a few team spots still remain. This two-day event –
which includes a mixer and reception, food and beverage dur-
ing the festivities, and competition on the Players
Course – is in its second year, and it promises to
be better than ever thanks to an array of spon-
sors and partnerships. Play will begin on Saturday,
Feb. 6, with an 11 a.m. shotgun start with a two best-

olfers looking to improve their game can still make plans
to attend a Yoga for Golfers class at Indian Wells Golf Re-
sort. Held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4 p.m., these
golf-specific classes apply yoga-based physical and mental con-
ditioning to the biomechanics of the golf swing. All fitness lev-
els are welcome, and no previous yoga experience is required.
