The third-annual Desert 2 Ball Challenge will take place April 10-12 at three of the Coachella Valley's premier courses – including the Celebrity Course at Indian Wells Golf Resort – where 72 teams will compete in a combi- nation of scramble, better-ball and shamble formats. Included in the entry fee are tee gifts, on-course contests and prizes for top finishers in both gross and net divisions. Following the final round of competition at Indian Wells, players are invited at attend a post- event awards banquet and prize giveaway at the resort's Vue Grille & Bar. FRIDAY NIGHTS BARRY MINNIEFIELD BRINGS SOULFUL SOUNDS TO VUE Y ou've seen him on NBC's reality show "The Voice," and now you can savor the soulful sounds of Coachella Valley resident Barry Minniefield at In- dian Wells. The 53-year-old soul singer impressed the singing competition show's judges during the recently tele- vised auditions and fans will be cheering him on as the weeks progress. SUNDAY, APRIL 5 JOIN US FOR EASTER BRUNCH AT VUE W hether you're a local or in town for the weekend, Vue Grille & Bar would like to invite you to attend Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. While brunch at Vue is always a celebrated affair, Executive Chef Cale Falk sets up the buffet tables with more entrees, breakfast items and salads.
