The Indian Wells Golf Resort rest-
aurant is hosting its Wined Up for the
Season tasting, which will feature 36
premium wineries on Nov. 14 with
representatives pouring different va-
rietals, along with champagne, while
offering notes on each one.
Tastings will include a brand new
release from Cakebread Cellars called
Mullan Road, a red blend made with
grapes harvested from Walla Walla's
Seven Hills vineyard in Washington.
Cakebread will have several releases
on display during the event.
In addition, there will be wines
from Taken Wine Company, which is
owned by the sons of Swanson Vine-
yards and Bob Trinchero Napa Valley
proprietors.
Guests will be able to purchase all
of the featured wines at cost. A com-
plementary dinner buffet with sliders,
macaroni and cheese, a cheese display
and more will be set up. There also
will be live music.
"The event, with the food compo-
nent, offers guests a chance to come
here and not just taste wine but also
enjoy a meal," says Scott Winant,
Director of Food and Beverage. "It's
also a great opportunity to bulk up
your wine cellar, with bottles priced
at $5 to $50, lower than what you'd
find in stores."
