Golf courses in peak condition and ready for
2020 as the season gets under way

I
t's looking like another great year for Indian
Wells Golf Resort. The players Course, which was
recently voted Top 25 Best Conditions in America
by Golf Advisor for 2019, is in great form and the
recent spraying of the dormant rough really makes the
green overseeded short grass stand out. You may won-
der how can it be so green. It's a complicated answer.
In short, it has to do with some timely nitrate fertil-
izer applications, along with ferrous sulfate and man-
ganese nitrate foliar sprays. The ryegrass seems to
respond very well to this fertilizer cocktail. In addition,
we are continuing to work on landscape areas around
the Players Course and continue to clean them up. It's a
big task, but it not only helps the course look better, it
also speeds up play. That's a great double bonus.

On the Celebrity Course, we are doing similar things
with fertility as well with landscape areas. There have
been many more flowers planted during the past couple
