Summer projects keep courses in top
condition heading into the fall season

I
t was hot and humid throughout the
Coachella Valley in July and August, but
we were able to make it through our
summer aerifications at Indian Wells Golf
Resort nicely while our golfers enjoyed very
good conditions on both the Players and
Celebrity courses.
Soon, though, we'll begin our overseeding
process, which begins September 9 with the
Pavilion wedding lawns, the putting and chip-
ping greens, the upper driving range and the
Shots in the Night putting course.
on September 23, we will begin overseeding
the Players course, which will close on that day
and re-open on Friday, october 11. the celebrity
course overseeding begins october 13 and the
course will re-open on Friday, november 1.
It definitely will be a very busy and important
time for our staff, but plenty of proper planning
