troon challenge
Qualifier
The quest to reach the 2019 Troon Chal-
lenge National Finals can begin at Indian
Wells Golf Resort as a regional qualifier
will take place on the Celebrity Course.
Two-player teams will compete in a modi-
fied best-ball shamble format in net and
gross play for the chance to advance to
the national finals December 6-8 at The
Phoenician and Troon North Golf Club in
Arizona. The entry fee is $250 per team
and includes golf with cart, practice balls,
a tee gift and more.

indian wells pro-am
invitational
Professional golfers and amateurs will re-
turn to The Players Course for the 6th an-
nual Pro-Am Invitational presented by
the City of Indian Wells on February 1. A
reception and mixer kick off the festivities
on Friday, January 31, followed by an 11
a.m. shotgun start the next day. Profes-
sionals will compete for a share of a
$10,000 purse, while amateurs will vie for
prizes and stay-and-play packages. Teams
are made up of one professional and four
amateurs and entry is $1,600 per team.

desert two-Ball
challenge
One of the most unique golf tournaments
in the Coachella Valley returns in 2020 for
its ninth edition as the Desert Two-Ball
Challenge will take place April 17-19. The
three-day event gives golfers the oppor-
tunity to compete at the The Gary Player
Course at The Westin Mission Hills, Classic
Club, and the Players Course at Indian
Wells Golf Resort. The format features a
two-player team scramble, and the finale
at Indian Wells will be followed by an
awards banquet. Entry is $598 per team.
