Despite a significant amount of rain,
course conditions continue to shine

s we move into spring here in the
desert, we cannot leave February
in the rear-view mirror fast
enough. The weather was nothing
like what we have grown to expect. February is
usually a beautiful month, where flowers begin
to bloom, both courses are in magnificent
shape and our climate is typically among the
best in the world.
This year was an exception.
Weather in February was chilly and wet. We
should have known some changes were in the
wind, as our Indian Wells Pro-Am was ham-
pered with rain, cold and wind. This bad
weather trend stayed with us through the first
half of the month and culminated with a rain-
storm we haven't seen in the Valley in many
years. We received more than 3 inches of rain
in a 24-hour period and our practice area was
