Games on the driving range
include Around the World,
Closest to the Pin, H.O.R.S.E., Twenty-
One and more. On the putting green,
players have enjoyed the nine-hole chal-
lenge, corn hole and shuffleboard, among
other competitions. Balesteri has been
pleased by the reaction from non-golfers.
"We want to put golf clubs in the hands
of those who would normally never at-
tempt to play golf," he said.
One of the best aspects of Shots in the
Night is how easy the games are for
guests to operate. Newcomers are given a
brief demo by the resort's night golf staff,
and then can use an iPad to select the
game they want to play, get basics on the
rules of each game and keep score.
Staffers are available to help with any
questions, but so far, running the games
has been intuitive for most visitors.
Shots in the Night is open to the public
Thursdays-Saturdays starting the half hour
after sunset, and can be rented for private
parties on other nights. Reservations can be
made for the first hour of the night seven
days in advance for outside guests and 14
days in advance for resort property owners
and hotel guests. Golfers looking to play
later in the night can put their name on the
first-come, first-serve waiting list using
the same booking windows as above.
